Achilles Tendonitis/ Tendinopathy

Achilles tendinopathy involves inflammation or degeneration of the Achilles tendon due to overuse, poor footwear, or biomechanical issues. It is common among runners and active individuals.

Anterior Ankle Impingement
    • Pain and stiffness in the back of the heel

    • Swelling or thickening of the tendon

    • Morning stiffness or pain after activity

  • Physical exam and ultrasound help confirm tendon involvement and assess for partial tears.

  • Non-surgical management includes eccentric strengthening, heel lifts, and shockwave therapy. Persistent cases may benefit from minimally invasive debridement or biologic augmentation.

  • Symptoms often improve within 8–12 weeks of therapy; surgical recovery may take 3–4 months.
