Bunionette (Tailor’s Bunion)

A bunionette, or Tailor’s bunion, is a similar deformity affecting the small toe, causing a painful prominence on the outside of the foot.

Anterior Ankle Impingement
    • Pain and swelling at the base of the little toe

    • Difficulty wearing narrow shoes

    • Localized redness or irritation

  • Clinical evaluation and X-rays confirm the deformity and its severity.

    • Non-surgical:  Wider shoes, padding, orthotics, anti-inflammatory therapy.

    • Surgical/minimally invasive:  Osteotomy and soft tissue correction may be performed via minimally invasive techniques to restore alignment and relieve pain.

  • Patients typically return to normal footwear and activity within 6–8 weeks post-surgery.
