Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is inflammation of the thick tissue band that supports the arch of the foot, leading to heel pain, especially with first steps in the morning.

Anterior Ankle Impingement
    • Sharp heel pain with walking or standing

    • Morning pain that improves with activity

    • Tenderness along the plantar fascia

  • Diagnosis is based on clinical exam; imaging may be used to exclude other causes of heel pain.

  • Non-surgical treatments include stretching, orthotics, night splints, and physical therapy. Chronic cases may benefit from ultrasound-guided injections or minimally invasive release procedures.

  • Most patients improve within 6–12 weeks; surgical options are rarely necessary although in chronic cases, minimally techniques can be performed.
